Me, You, Us
2000 x 2000 Mixed Media - Paint, dress patterns, graphite, charcoal, metallic foil, flame treated copper rod. |
This is an artwork created as part of my 'Paper Doll' series which looks at notions of identity, culture, community, and connection.
This is an impactful wall hanging that speaks of the individual uniqueness of all of us and our strengths when we are together. I think our experiences navigating these last few years while Covid has affected our way of life have caused many of us to recognise how important it is to stay in touch with our loved ones and be aware of those around us, and how we are all doing. Each person has their own patterns, all hand-cut from canvas and stitched together. |
