Landscape
Arwen has been painting landscapes for as long as she has been making art. They provide a stage for exploring metaphoric aspects of human life experience. The drama of West Auckland's rugged coastline, forests and mountain ranges in her paintings are enhanced by the way she uses light and a stylistic approach to applying paint that is almost realistic but retains an expressive painterly feel.
