Native series monotypes
These beautiful one-off hand-made prints combine monotype printmaking with photograms (a camera-less photographic process). I began making them while exploring alternative art making processes during an individual artist residency, completed at the Waygood Foundation in Piha, Auckland, New Zealand, March 2016.
For my Native series I have used foliage native to New Zealand and the process of making each print references photograms made by Anna Atkins, English botanist and (proposed first woman) photographer in the 1840's, as well as bringing a focus to the quality and nature of our relationships with the environment.
They are all my own work, every print unique and hand-made from start to finish on archival papers.
These monotypes are also available as limited edition, artist quality, archival, Giclée prints. Please contact me for more information or
to order.
