This artwork is part of my 'Paper Doll' series which looks at notions of identity, culture, community, and connection.
Two figures meet and between them, a stylised fern represents new growth, a positive connection. It's also reminiscent of the 'olive branch' an extension of peace between two entities. The figures could be two people, or part of a 'self' - the inner and outer selves connecting, the conscious and subconscious coming together. |
